Located in near Brenham, Five Star Wagyu Ranch has been raising commercial cattle for over thirty years. When the drought hit our area in 2011 and hay cost more than cows, we sold all of our commercial cows and kept 25 young Angus females. After considerable reseach, we decided to raise Wagyu cows - KOBI BEEF. We purchased fertilized Wagyu embryos of excellent genetics and implanted them in our 25 young Angus females. These were purchased from one of the leading Wagyu embryo suppliers in the U.S. Our goal is not ro raise a large number of good cows, but to raise a small number of the best tasting, healthy, hormone and antibiotic free natural cows.
